Field Analysis
First and foremost, Vibtech is a trouble-shooting company. Vibration Analysis is the main tool for identifying mechanical problems while Infrared Thermography is the focus for electrical problems. Any job which is not a Predictive Maintenance Program is designated as a "Field Analysis" job. On the mechanical side, Vibration Analysis troubleshooting jobs may be anything from a one-time analysis, to balancing or a laser alignment of a direct coupled machine. The purpose of Field Analysis jobs is to identify and correct, if possible, conditions which are causing a machine distress. Should an extensive repair be required (such as an overhaul) we would give specific recommendations for the extent of the repair. We are always unbiased in our approach since Vibtech does not provide a major repair service. When a report is required, the following is included: - An outline sketch of the machine
- Relevant nameplate data
- Relevant unfiltered readings
- Comments and recommendations in plain english

However, the focus is still the same - to identify a failing component. In all cases, infrared images of problem areas are provided along with a digital image of the afflicted area.
